Pertamina is committed to implement good corporate governance in its business activities, because Pertamina believes that the success of a company should not only be seen from the profit that keeps increasing but it should also be measured from the ethical business behavior.
Conducting a clean business is an essential aspect in maintaining the sustainability of a company. This is one of the causes that drove the signing of commitment between Pertamina and Corruption Eradication Commission on the 26th August 2010 for cooperating in Gratuities Management Program in Pertamina.
In view of the above, with supervision by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Guideline on the Gratuities, Refusal, Receiving, Giving Gifts/Souvenirs and Entertainment has been formulated and implemented.
This guideline sets the rules of gratuities, boundaries in receiving and giving gratuities, the reporting mechanism and the classification of gratuities in Pertamina which is divided into:
Additionally, to support the implementation of the guideline, Pertamina has formed a Gratuities Management Unit (Unit Pengendalian Gratifikasi Pertamina) known as UPG Pertamina, which in conducting its activities shall coordinate with KPK.
UPG Pertamina shall manage, analyze and conduct clarification to gratuities receiver. UPG Pertamina also has to submit report regularly and coordinate with KPK on the gratuities report of which under KPK’s domain.
