20% Increase Compared to Last Year, 2,445 Participants from 386 Universities Joined the Pertamina Business Idea Competition "Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2022"
Jakarta, October 21, 2022 - PT Pertamina (Persero) on October 18, 2022, at 00.00 WIB officially closed the Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2022 business idea competition registration, opened on August 15, 2022.
The students showed enthusiasm for participating in the competition. There was an increase of about 20% from last year. Last year, there were 2,025 registrants. This year, 2,445 participants have registered. They come from 386 universities, 143 public universities, and 241 private universities. There were even participants from overseas campuses, namely the City University of Hong Kong.
“The enthusiasm is very high. It increased compared to the Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2021 business idea competition. There are even Indonesian students studying in Hong Kong who registered," said Heppy Wulansari, Acting Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), on Thursday (20/10).
The participants' enthusiasm can also be seen from the registrant areas' distribution. Registrants came from 30 provinces in Indonesia. Namely, Aceh, West Sumatera, South Sumatera, North Sumatera, Lampung, Banten, DKI Jakarta, DIY, West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Islands, Riau, Jambi, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, Maluku, Bali, NTB, NTT and Papua.
This activity is PT Pertamina (Persero)'s commitment to support startup development among Indonesia's younger generation. Currently, the 2445 registrants will go through a filtering process until October 21, 2022, then continue with the curation process until October 26, 2022.
After the curation process, on October 27, 2022, 30 participants who have passed the demo day will be announced. Meanwhile, the demo day will be held from November 3 to 6, 2022.
The climax, the final pitch & announcement of the Top 3 Pertamuda 2022, is planned to be held at the end of November 2022. The closing of this business idea competitions series is the Post Mentoring Top 10 Pertamuda 2022, conducted from December 2022 to February 2023.
All stages of the announcement will be made through the www.pertamuda.id website and Pertamuda's Instagram. The best three or Top 3 will get business capital to run their business ideas of IDR 100 million each.**
