Bravo! TNI Ready to Guard Pertamina's Obvitnas throughout Indonesia

Jakarta, September 21, 2022 - PT Pertamina and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) establish strategic cooperation for security for strategic national vital objects (Obvitnas) implementation. The TNI reaffirmed its commitment to guarding Pertamina's national vital objects throughout Indonesia.

This collaboration was marked by a memorandum of understanding signing regarding Optimization and Synergy in the Safeguarding Strategic National Vital Objects and Other Objects Implementation between President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, and Commander of TNI, General Andika Perkasa. The cooperation signing took place at the Grha Pertamina Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (20/9/2022).

Nicke appreciated the cooperation between Pertamina and the TNI. Moreover, the distribution of Pertamina's assets throughout Indonesia is quite wide. These assets also have a positive impact on the community.

"The size of Pertamina's working area in Indonesia makes us cooperate with the TNI to secure the infrastructure owned by Pertamina. We need escort and security because all these Obvitnas are for Indonesian people," said Nicke.

Nicke said the cooperation between Pertamina and the TNI could be increased into a cooperation agreement in all Pertamina holdings and subholdings as a form of Pertamina's commitment to providing energy for the community. "Securing this Obvitnas is very important and is part of Pertamina's efforts to provide energy for the Indonesian people under any conditions," said Nicke.

Meanwhile, the Commander of TNI, General Andika Perkasa, said his party was ready to support Pertamina in securing Obvitnas because Obvitnas is very important for the smooth energy distribution in Indonesia.

“We are aware that the strategic Obvitnas and operation disruption will have a major impact on the routines of people's lives. Therefore, TNI is ready to support security and provide the best personnel for Pertamina and Indonesia," said Andika.

In this cooperation agreement activity, the TNI Commander also briefly reviewed the Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data Command Center (PIEDCC), which is a real-time integrated data presentation facility from all over Indonesia that supports Pertamina's strategic role as an integrator of all business lines from operational and commercial aspects. Andika expressed his admiration for Pertamina's command center facility.

According to Andika, digitization through PIEDCC is an accurate way to minimize leakage from upstream to downstream while increasing efficiency.
