Jakarta, December 23, 2022 - PT PGN Tbk, as Pertamina's Gas Subholding, is prepared to maintain gas and LNG reliability and distribution during the Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 (Nataru) holidays safely and optimally. PGN also continues to serve and maintain natural gas needs distribution so customers can enjoy them during holidays without worry.
Director of Sales and Operations of PGN, Faris Aziz, explained that PGN's Nataru Task Force maintains the safe condition of the entire natural gas network and supply for 794,145 SR, 1,914 small customers, and 2,542 commercial and industrial customers. For supply, PGN obtains from multisource 19 KKKS Gas in 23 Working Areas.
"PGN has prepared a supply of gas distribution to end users of 977 BBTUD, gas transmission of 2,490 MMSCFD, 177,750 LSP for CNG, and LNG Stock. With 100 percent infrastructure reliability for gas transportation and distribution activities at this time, the status is sufficient and normal," said Faris.
Faris continued the Nataru Task Force's role is also to ensure the safety of crude oil and the distribution of BBG transportation. The Nataru Task Force is also preparing to anticipate gas supply by utilizing CNG as a backup supply if there are distribution disruptions, as well as LNG utilization at the Lampung FSRU.
"Operationally, the Nataru Task Force monitors and controls the pressure on the transmission and distribution networks, as well as patrols the natural gas network and infrastructure. 24-hour standby is to maintain gas distribution. Apart from that, the Disturbance Handling Team is also on standby 24/7,” explained Faris
The Nataru PGN Subholding Gas Task Force is integrated with the Nataru Holding Oil and Gas Pertamina Task Force and the EMR Joint Command Post at BPH Migas, which is on standby until January 8, 2023. The Nataru PGN Task Force is on standby in 23 post areas and is on call 24 hours a day at 135 Call Center. It is hoped that Task Force Nataru can handle quickly if there are problems or incidents in natural gas utilization. The public can also contact the nearest Sales Area to speed up handling if they experience problems using natural gas.
“The gas balance for each area or region can change according to customer needs and gas availability. Therefore, PGN also anticipates opportunities to increase demand for natural gas. For security reasons, for household customers who want to travel for a long time during the Nataru holidays, we recommend them to close the valve near the gas meter," added Faris.
