Ensuring LPG Filling Meets Standards, Pertamina Patra Niaga Inspects SPPBE in Riau Province

Pekanbaru, June 24, 2024 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut Region ensures the 3 kg LPG cylinder filling meets the correct standards. This conclusion was reached after an inspection of the 3 kg LPG cylinder filling at the Elpiji Bulk Filling and Transportation Station (SPPBE) in Riau Province on Sunday (23/6).

Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut, Susanto August Satria, stated that this inspection is routinely conducted to directly monitor the 3 kg LPG’s quality and quantity accuracy distributed to the community according to the correct measures.

"Inspections began yesterday, Saturday (22/6), at SPBE Siak Bina Sejahtera. Today, the Retail Sales Area Team in Riau continued the inspections at SPBE Siak Jaya Abadi, SPBE Mas Artha Sarana, and SPBE Awal Bros Multi Karya. The inspections involve checking the cylinders’ weight to ensure they meet the established standards. We also inspected the gas filling machines at the SPBE Unit Filling Machine (UFM) to ensure the UFM settings are correct for the 3 kg weight," said Satria on Sunday (23/6).

Satria added that the 3 kg LPG cylinders inspection was conducted with a sample size of 84 cylinders. The results showed that the samples fulfilled the requirements, and the cylinder weights were within the standard limits.

"The inspection results, with 84 sample cylinders taken from each filling line at the four SPBEs, showed that all cylinders were within the normal weight range of around 8 kg, consisting of 5 kg for the cylinder and 3 kg for the LPG. These cylinders are then distributed from the SPBE to agents and subsequently to consumers," said Satria.
