Focus on Improving HSSE Culture, Elnusa Wins World Safety Organization Indonesia Award 2022
Jakarta, February 24, 2022 – PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa), subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a member of Sub holding Upstream Pertamina, won a four-star GOLD award at the World Safety Organization (WSO) Indonesia Safety Culture Award (WISCA) 2022. This appreciation is given to companies that have been committed and focused on a sustainable basis in implementing work culture and OHS aspects. Ramon Arias Pili, Elnusa Board of Directors, VP of HSSE Elnusa, received the award virtually (22/02).
Soehatman Ramli, Chairman of WSO Indonesia, appreciates the 58 company leaders involved in WISCA since the beginning so that the annual activity is successfully conducted. He hopes that WISCA can continue until Indonesia achieves a World-Class OHS Culture, with more participants.
Ramon Arias Pili, VP of HSEE Elnusa, representing Elnusa Board Directors, said, "This award is tangible proof of the consistency, commitment, and support of Elnusa Management in implementing HSSE culture in the Elnusa Group work environment. The HSSE Culture is implemented through several activities such as Management Walk Through (MWT) and HSSE Committee as a form of commitment and communication between the Board of Directors, Management, and Employees. HSSE function is not the only one conducting the two programs but also workers in the field and Top Management such as the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors in measuring and monitoring the implementation of HSSE Golden Rules Obedience, Caring, and Interventions,"
In terms of communication, Elnusa massively carried out HSSE campaigns, such as Live Saving Rules and others throughout Elnusa's internals, all business lines, and the head office. At the end of 2021, Elnusa Partners were involved in the Elnusa Contractors HSSE Meeting (ENCORE). This activity was held to create synergy, collaboration, and engagement in realizing HSSE Excellence through fulfilling Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS) implementation criteria by Elnusa's partners in full.
In addition, to increase competence through knowledge and engagement, Elnusa has launched three programs, including HSSE School, HSSE +, and HSE 101, which involve workers in the HSSE function of Elnusa Group, from officers to Top Management.
Ramon added, "Through a series of excellent programs to improve HSSE culture towards this generative level, in 2021 Elnusa successfully recorded 40.1 million working hours with HSSE Performance Elnusa Group in achieving the Zero Fatality & Zero LTI target."
