Surabaya, September 13, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) conducted education and socialization for the Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina (AJP) 2024 to mass media in East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus). The event, held in Surabaya on Thursday (12/9), was conducted in-person and online, allowing hundreds of media professionals from these provinces to participate.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, said that AJP 2024 is an annual journalism event organized by Pertamina to appreciate media professionals across Indonesia who have produced quality journalistic works for the public. Pertamina Group actively promotes AJP in various regions to strengthen relationships with the media and to provide up-to-date information on the latest developments in Pertamina Group's business.
"During the AJP socialization event, Pertamina not only shared information about the ongoing AJP event but also used this opportunity to update the media on the business developments within Pertamina Group, giving them a deeper understanding of Pertamina," he explained.
Various entities from the Pertamina Group located in the Jatimbalinus region were present at the event, including Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) East Indonesia Region, Pertamina Patra Niaga Marketing V Jatimbalinus, SOR 3 of Perusahaan Gas Negara, and Pertamina International Shipping.
Eviyanti Rofraida, Senior Manager of External Communications & Stakeholder Relations of PHE, explained that East Java is one of the largest gas-producing regions in Indonesia, specifically through the Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) field, which is managed by PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) Zone 12 East Indonesia Region, a subsidiary of Pertamina's Upstream Sub-holding. JTB has recorded a production capacity of up to 192 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). Currently, JTB’s gas production has reached around 125 MMSCFD.
With this achievement, PEPC JTB is ready to optimally supply gas to industries in East Java and primarily Central Java, following the Cirebon-Semarang gas pipeline development.
On the marketing side, Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager for Communication Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus, explained various programs and innovations, such as the Targeted Fuel Subsidy Program per government regulations for Solar and Pertalite fuel types.
In the maritime sector, Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), as the Integrated Marine Logistics Sub-holding (SH IML), plays a crucial role as the virtual backbone supporting national energy distribution. PIS vessels ensure timely, effective, and efficient energy distribution. Supported by energy terminals and other port services, they ensure the smooth provision and distribution of energy throughout Indonesia.
Additionally, Hamalsyahan, Division Head of Regional Support & Services of SOR 3 Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), revealed PGN’s role as Pertamina’s Gas Sub-holding in distributing natural gas, a clean energy source, to end consumers. In the PGN SOR 3 region, customers range from commercial and industrial clients to small customers and households, with a gas network serving more than 203,000 customers.
Through this socialization and the sharing of the latest business information, Fadjar hopes the media can act as agents of information to the public about energy acceleration in line with the AJP Pertamina 2024 theme, "Energizing The Acceleration."
