Jakarta, August 16, 2024 – PT Pertamina Bina Medika IHC (IHC), the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Hospital Holding, demonstrates its commitment to supporting national events. For the 79th Independence Day celebration of the Republic of Indonesia, which will take place on August 17, 2024, in the National Capital City (IKN) Nusantara, IHC has prepared a medical team on standby to ensure the smooth running of the event.
IKN Nusantara, located in East Kalimantan, has become the center of national attention as Indonesia's new capital city. It will also witness the historic flag-raising ceremony led by President Joko Widodo at the IKN State Palace. Recognizing the importance of this moment, IHC, through Pertamina Balikpapan Hospital (RSPB), has deployed its best medical team to support the event. With a travel time of approximately two hours, the RSPB medical team is ready to provide top-notch healthcare services.
RSPB, located in East Kalimantan and one of the hospitals under the IHC umbrella, has mobilized an ambulance unit and medical personnel consisting of two general practitioners, three nurses, and one ambulance driver. This medical team will be on standby in the VIP room of the State Palace, which is equipped with a Mini ICU specially prepared to cater to VIP guests’ medical needs.
Additionally, IHC provides a Toyota Hilux 4x4 Rescue Ambulance equipped with advanced life support features meeting Mini ICU standards, including a monitor, defibrillator, portable ventilator, and suction device. The advantage of this ambulance is its double-axle capability, making it highly suitable for navigating muddy terrain or heavy rain conditions in the IKN area.
Acting President Director of IHC, Dr. Lia Partakusuma, stated, "We are proud to play a role in supporting the Independence Day celebration in the National Capital City Nusantara. Our medical team has been well-prepared and will be on standby at IKN from August 14 to 18, 2024. With adequate facilities and equipment, we are ready to provide the best medical services to ensure the health and safety of all ceremony participants, especially the VIP guests at the State Palace."
VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that they appreciate the support of IHC's healthcare personnel for various major events in Indonesia. IHC, as one of Pertamina's Portfolio Subsidiaries, is expected to deliver the best services, ensuring the series of Independence Day celebrations at IKN run safely and comfortably for all participants and the surrounding community.
"We hope that everyone at IKN will feel secure with the presence of medical personnel from Pertamina Balikpapan Hospital - IHC. We also hope that the health of all participants in the Independence Day celebrations is in good condition and that the event proceeds smoothly," explained Fadjar.
With thorough preparations in place, IHC is committed to contributing to the success of the Independence Day ceremony at IKN Nusantara while demonstrating its strategic role in supporting every national event.
