Jakarta, August 19, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero), through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, has extended aid to the victims affected by the fire in Manggarai District, South Jakarta. Pertamina's assistance includes necessities, vitamins, and medicines.
The fire, which occurred in Manggarai, Tebet Sub-district, South Jakarta, in the early hours of Tuesday (13/8/2024), affected over 3,000 people from 1,172 households in the area, according to data from the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated, "Pertamina deeply sympathizes with the tragedy. As a form of support to the Manggarai community, we provide essential supplies and medicines to the residents affected by the fire. We hope this assistance will boost their spirits and help fulfill their needs during this difficult time," Fadjar explained.
The aid was distributed to the Manggarai Market Refugee Post on Saturday and Sunday, August 17-18, 2024. The assistance provided included ready-to-eat meals, milk and mineral water, clothing, prayer equipment, baby food and supplies, school equipment, mattresses, blankets, vitamins, and medicines.
