Jakarta, February 27, 2023 – A thousand Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) included in the catalog of the 1,000 best Pertamina-fostered MSMEs in 2022 were curated to participate in The International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT) in Jakarta on March 1-5, 2023.
After going through a curation process, the 24 best-fostered MSMEs were finally selected to showcase their products, consisting of 19 fostered MSMEs through the MSE Funding program and 5 MSMEs assisted by Rumah BUMN Pertamina.
MSMEs were selected according to the criteria for both quality and product quality that had been set, representing various sectors, including craft, beauty and health, fashion, and accessories. These MSMEs come from various cities, including Palembang, Tasikmalaya, Depok, Garut, Kudus, Sleman, Semarang, Pekalongan, Surabaya, Denpasar, Ginyar, Lombok, Balikpapan, and Palangkaraya.
Products that will be showcased include songket crafts produced by Azizah Songket, batik from UMKM Pekatan, Muria, Larissa, Joglo Ayu Tenan, Cap Bali, and DnL Dewi Batik. Asia Garment International, Namira Ecoprint, will also present other fashion products. Meanwhile, for crafts, there will be pearl crafts from D'ethnic Istana Mutiara Lombok, leather crafts from Move Leather, and other crafts from Duta Crafindo, Woodeco Indonesia, Lyka, Arara Art, Klabat Craft, Khula Craft, Atap Konjo, Iwatik, Toko Ida Usaha, Indang Apang Gallery, Kemala Handmade. There are also mukena products from Al-Aqshal and body care products from Bali Ayu Nature.
VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that MSMEs' participation in INACRAFT is part of Pertamina's MSME coaching program, as well as a stimulus for MSMEs to upgrade.
"We hope that Pertamina-fostered MSMEs' participation in the largest craft exhibition in Indonesia will become a means of product promotion. Therefore, it is better known to the wider community, ready to compete, and opens up networking for market expansion inside the country and abroad. Future transactions will not only occur during exhibitions but will continue to be ongoing with retail buyers, as well as those in the creative and tourism industries," he explained.
MSME development through participation in exhibitions is part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program in realizing economic independence, as well as Pertamina's support in achieving the 8th SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), namely increasing inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment opportunities productive and well-rounded, and decent work.
