Denpasar, July 30, 2023 - PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to monitor LPG distribution to the public. Today, Sunday, July 30, 2023, President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, along with Member of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), I Nyoman Parta, directly visited several 3 Kg LPG stations and agents in Bali.
This inspection was conducted to directly monitor Subsidized LPG availability in the field, following the monitoring of all Subsidized LPG supplies through Pertamina's command center yesterday afternoon. Nicke and Nyoman visited I Kadek Sudarma's 3 Kg LPG Station and I Made Budhiarta's 3 Kg LPG Station in the Sukawati area, Gianyar, as well as the Usaha Dagang 3Kg LPG Station in Denpasar.
To the station’s employees, Nicke reassured them not to worry because the supply is sufficient, and deliveries will continue. "The supply is sufficient, so do not worry. Today's delivery schedule is already available," said Nicke.
With the increasing consumption, Nicke stated that efforts will continue to be made to increase the supply, including through market operations. However, it is still essential to emphasize that only the less fortunate are entitled to enjoy the 3 Kg LPG subsidy.
"As written on the cylinder, it is only for the poor. Therefore, those who are not eligible should buy Non-Subsidized LPG. We will also increase the quota for Non-Subsidized LPG to avoid everyone rushing for the 3 Kg LPG, as 96 percent of consumers currently use the 3 Kg variant," Nicke said.
Nicke emphasized that they are currently pushing for the 3 Kg LPG buyers' registration using their national ID cards (KTP) so that the government has data on who receives the subsidized LPG.
"What we are ensuring is the availability. We are making sure it does not become scarce and about the price. Maximum Retail Prices have been determined for each region, and for those who violate the rules, we will take firm actions and not supply them anymore," said Nicke.
Nicke expressed gratitude to Mr. Nyoman Parta from the DPR RI and other stakeholders who continuously work with Pertamina to ensure the 3 kg Subsidized LPG supply is sufficient.
"To the public, let's register. Without registration, the public will not get the 3 kg LPG since this is our way of being accountable to the government. If there are any irregularities, please inform us at 135, so we can follow up," said Nicke.
Meanwhile, Member of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), I Nyoman Parta, expressed his appreciation for Pertamina's performance, particularly for the President Director, who visited the field to observe the LPG availability.
"Respect to the President Director for personally inspecting the 3 Kg LPG availability in the field. I assure the public not to panic because the gas is available, and it's sufficient," said I Nyoman Parta.
