Jakarta, June 6, 2023 - Pertamina has achieved its highest net profit since its establishment. The company recorded a net profit of USD 3.81 billion or IDR 56.6 trillion, an 86 percent increase compared to USD 2.05 billion or IDR 29.3 trillion in 2021.
Pertamina's revenue also surged, reaching USD 84.89 billion or approximately IDR 1,262 trillion in 2022, a 48 percent increase compared to USD 57.5 billion in the previous year.
The financial performance for 2022 follows the decisions made during the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which approved the Annual Report for the 2022 fiscal year held in Jakarta on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.
The AGM has also endorsed the Audited Consolidated Financial Statements of the company for the period ending on December 31, 2022, with a Company Health Level of 93.95, categorized as healthy (AA).
Along with the revenue increase, Pertamina's consolidated EBITDA also rose to USD 13.59 billion, a 47 percent increase compared to USD 9.26 billion in 2021.

Nicke added that the accomplishments in 2022 are the result of continuous improvements in the company's foundation, which contributed to its success.
"Of course, this is not the end of our achievements but the beginning," added Nicke.
According to Nicke, the company's revenue increase was not only supported by higher lifting and oil and gas production, as well as product sales, but Pertamina also succeeded in optimizing costs. Cost optimization from 2021 to 2022 contributed to savings of up to USD 3.273 billion.
The financial performance is in line with the sustainability performance, which has also yielded positive results. Pertamina has achieved the second position globally in the Integrated Oil & Gas sub-industry by Sustainalytics, with an ESG score of 22.1 in October 2022, an improvement from the previous 28.1 scores.
With significant improvements in financial and operational performance throughout 2022, Pertamina has once again reaffirmed its position as the only Indonesian company listed in the Fortune Global 500, ranking 223, increased from its previous position of 287.**
