Bandung, May 23, 2023 - Through the SOE Digital Forum (Fordigi) Goes to Campus, PT Pertamina (Persero) encourages readiness to use technology from young talents. It is the Ministry of SOE initiative program to create a digital ecosystem from universities in the country.
President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, with Pertamina's management, became speakers at the SOE Fordigi Goes To Campus Chapter #1 at the Sasana Budaya Ganesha ITB Building, Bandung, West Java, Monday (22/05/2023). With the theme "Break Away from Conventional Thinking, Find Your Next Big Business Idea", the activity is expected to encourage students to optimally use digital facilities by presenting various updates for the surrounding environment, as well as to understand digitalization aspects in business processes in utilizing the digital business ecosystems.
President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati, said digitalization could be realized starting from the campus because the biggest challenge is human resource readiness.
“This program is an excellent initiative from the Ministry of SOEs because the biggest challenge is Indonesia's human capital readiness. Students can choose their self-development program according to the competencies and skills needed for the future based on digitalization," Nicke said.
Nicke added, Fordigi provides good opportunities for future business development. Pertamina, as the Ministry of SOEs' partner, plays a role in developing global standard digital ecosystems and talents.
Arif Purwanto Kaban, an ITB Department of Biotechnology student, said Fordigi was very useful and fun. Besides digitalization knowledge, the speakers presented were not arbitrary, but those who understood the latest digitalization.
"In my opinion, Pertamina is one of the institutions that is known and answers the community's needs. Pertamina has also implemented a digital transformation program. This development plan system is integrated between subsidiaries to ensure optimization of oil and gas production that is sustainable and aligned with the company's work program and government targets," Arif said.
Not only Arif, Muhammad Yusril Iqbal Habibana, a student of ITB Earth Science Department, added that when the world was fixated on the era of disruption with the pandemic, Pertamina had already prepared a strategy, which was using digitalization.
VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added his party would be actively involved in this Fordigi program. "By collaborating with ten universities, Fordigi Goes to Campus is expected to be a place for students to understand context, trends, challenges, and the potential that exists in the digitalization era," Fadjar explained.**
