Ahead of the 2024 Election, Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel Region Ensures Energy Supply for the Community

Palembang, February 10, 2024 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel Region ensures fuel and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) stock availability ahead of the 2024 election in South Sumatra (Sumbagsel).

To prepare for potential distribution challenges during the electoral period, Pertamina has established  fuel and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) Task Forces.

Tjahyo Nikho Indrawan, the Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR in Sumbagsel, stated that the Election Task Force operates from February 5, 2024, to February 18, 2024, working 24 hours to ensure the security of fuel and LPG stocks and supplies, thus supporting the smooth and peaceful election.

"We continue to ensure fuel and LPG stocks, so the community does not need to worry about energy availability during the election," said Nikho.

Pertamina recorded that in January 2024, the average consumption in South Sumatra for Gasoline (Petrol) was around 2,572 KL, and for Gasoil (Diesel) was approximately 1,687 KL. Meanwhile, the average consumption for LPG was around 845 MT.

In addition to ensuring fuel and LPG supply and distribution, Pertamina has coordinated with various parties to ensure security across all Pertamina operational facilities and infrastructure.

Pertamina also provides a 24-hour public complaint and information service through the Pertamina Call Center at 135. Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that the national energy stocks, including fuel, Avtur, and LPG, are in sufficient condition.
