May 8, 2023 - Pertamina Mandalika SAG Racing Team racer who competed in Moto2 European, Carlos Tatay, won the second podium in Race 1 Moto2 European Estoril in Portugalon Sunday (7/5).
Race 1 Moto2 European Estoril was won by Senna Agius with a time of 18:24.712, followed by Carlos Tatay, who managed to beat the Australian racer Harrison Voight.
For his success in Race 1, Carlos Tatay brought the Indonesian flag to the podium to appreciate his team, Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team.
In his personal Instagram post after the race, Carlos thanked all his team members. “Thank you for helping me every time and making me enjoy my passion in a way I have not done in a long time,” he wrote.
He said this result was just the first step for them, and the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team racer was ready to present other maximum results.
"This is just the beginning. Continue! See you in Valencia!” he insisted.
With last night's race, Carlos Tatay is in seventh place in the Moto2 European Championship standings after gaining 20 points in the first race.
