Jakarta, July 31, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially opened the Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina (AJP) 2024 and is ready to receive the best journalistic works from Indonesia's media professionals. The launch of AJP 2024 was marked by a Coaching Clinic featuring the National Jury, Maman Suherman, and the Best of The Best AJP winner. This event was held in a hybrid format in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that AJP 2024 is Pertamina's annual journalism event, aiming to appreciate media professionals across Indonesia who have produced high-quality journalistic work for the public. This competition also coincides with Pertamina's 67th anniversary in December.

"AJP is Pertamina's appreciation to media professionals across Indonesia who have supported the company's positive performance with high-quality journalistic work," said Fadjar.

Fadjar added that this year's AJP marks the 21st year of Pertamina's journalism competition. AJP 2024 is open to print, online, electronic journalists, and photojournalists. The requirement is the journalistic work must have been published in mass media from November 6, 2023, to October 31, 2024.

Unlike previous AJP events, Fadjar mentioned that this year's AJP features eight competition categories divided into two pillars: Business and Non-Business. The Business pillar includes four categories: Written Work (Print and Online Media), Television Work, Radio Work, and Photo Essay Work. Similarly, the Non-Business pillar comprises four categories: Written Work (Print and Online Media), Television Work, Radio Work, and Photo Essay Work.

"For the Business Pillar, media journalists can write about Pertamina's performance and operations from upstream to downstream, innovations and digitalization, energy transition and green energy, business expansion, and more. Meanwhile, the Non-Business Pillar covers Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR), micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) development, Pertamina's support for sports, and more," Fadjar added.

AJP 2024 will be conducted in stages across ten regions from Aceh to Papua. Winners will receive certificates and cash prizes of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah, with a short course abroad for the Best of The Best winner.

"All AJP works will be evaluated by a credible and professional Jury Board in their respective fields, objectively and independently," emphasized Fadjar.

During the Kick-Off AJP event, Pertamina also featured previous Best of The Best winner to share their experiences with media professionals attending both offline and online from across Indonesia. Winning the competition and earning a short course abroad serve as motivation for media professionals to participate in AJP 2024.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement.
