Padang, March 9, 2023 - Another achievement was made by a ship owned by PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS).
This time is the Yudhistira Transko ship, an oil tanker with a capacity of around 8,309 cubic meters or the equivalent of 52,262 barrels. Transko Yudhistira has passed the SIRE or Ship Inspection Report Programme, an international standard certification issued by the Oil Company Industry Marine Forum (OCIMF) so that ships can start serving international routes.
Previously, this ship served national routes for the distribution of oil products. The ship was built in 2018 and has a crew of 23 people.
PIS Fleet Director, Muhammad Irfan Zainul Fikri, appreciated Transko Yudhistira's achievements. "We appreciate all the crew of the Transko Yudhistira ship who have committed to passing the SIRE. We hope this can be a motivation for the other crew," said Irfan during a Management Walkthrough (MWT) visit to the Transko Yudhistira ship, on February 17.
MWT's visit to the Transko Yudhistira ship was also attended by PIS Director of Commerce, Arief Sukmara, Director of Human Resources and Business Development, Surya Tri Harto, and representatives of the HSSE function.
Director of Commerce, Arief Sukmara said that by passing the SIRE, the Transko Yudhistira ship has added to the company's confidence to be more aggressive in penetrating the global market. "Of course, while maintaining the mandatory as the backbone of domestic energy distribution."
Director of HR and PB PIS, Surya Tri Harto, added that the company asked all marine officers in the Sub Holding Integrated Marine Logistics (SH IML) always to increase their capacity to become global players. "One of them is by passing the SIRE certification carried out by Transko Yudhistira so that he can sail internationally and support the company's business."
MWT was held on February 17, 2022, when the ship docked at the Teluk Kabung Integrated Terminal (IT), Padang, West Sumatra. Teluk Kabung IT, which is managed by Pertamina Patra Niaga Subholding C&T, has distribution coverage to 20 regencies in western Sumatra and parts of Jambi province.
In the MWT, the emphasis is again on the application of the HSSE golden rule in a disciplined manner, so that PIS ships can pass global standard certifications, such as SIRE to increase competitiveness in the international market.
