Pekanbaru, April 30, 2024 – The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), Erick Thohir, continues to demonstrate his support for the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the regions, this time realized through Karya Nyata Fest Vol.6. The event took place for three days, from April 26 to April 28, 2024, at Aerosport Field, Pekanbaru.
The event was possible through the collaboration between the Ministry of SOE and PT Pertamina (Persero), which recorded approximately 30,000 visitors, the highest among the previous Karya Nyata Fest events. Further, the event also involved 105 MSME participants, fostered by 25 SOEs, consisting of food and beverage, crafts, and fashion, generating a total transaction of 668 million rupiahs. It demonstrates how Erick Thohir encourages the regional economy movement through MSME development.
Erick Thohir, through his staff, Arya Sinulingga, as a representative of the Ministry of SOE, stated, "It is hoped, with events like this, MSMEs will have a platform to showcase their products so they can be known and purchased. Supported also by Rumah BUMN Pekanbaru, the hope is that local MSMEs can progress, thus also contributing to advancing the Indonesian economy."
In addition to the MSME products sale, Karya Nyata Fest Vol.6 Pekanbaru also included a series of engaging activities involving the people of Pekanbaru of all ages. Among them were a high school futsal tournament, various talk shows on entrepreneurship and social media marketing, cosplay competitions, robotic shows, coffee competitions, mobile legends, local band entertainment, and the highlight was performances by Rony Parulian and Diskoplo. Further, there was also a business matching session, a collaboration between Riau MSMEs and Malaysia, making this event the first international scale of Karya Nyata Fest.
Attending this event were representatives from the Ministry of SOE, Assistant Deputy of HR & IT Ministry of SOE, TjSL bid., Edi Eko Cahyono, VP CSR & SMEPP PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman, Executive Director of the TJSL SOE forum, I Gede Arimbawa, Head of Bappeda Riau, Emri Juliharnis, and all young CEOs/CFOs of Rumah BUMN in Indonesia.
The Karya Nyata Fest event, which serves as a showcase for regional MSMEs in Indonesia, supported by the Ministry of SOE in collaboration with SOEs through Rumah BUMN, will continue in the other cities. Pekanbaru is the 6th city after being held in Tangerang, Padang, Medan, Jambi, and Bangka Belitung. Next, this event will visit Aceh. With a spirit of collaboration, the Karya Nyata Fest has successfully created a positive momentum for the development of MSMEs and regional economic growth, this time specifically in Pekanbaru. It is hoped that, through future activities, the Karya Nyata Fest can further enhance economic growth and stimulate MSME development in various regions of Indonesia.
