Jakarta, March 9, 2023 - Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) is committed to assist the handling of the Jakarta Integrated Terminal incident, both from fuel distribution to the assistance to the surrounding community.
"We express our deepest condolences for the affected residents and are ready to help optimally to ease the burden on the residents. The SH IML team is moving quickly and responsively to ensure smooth fuel supply to the Jakarta Integrated Terminal," said PIS Corporate Secretary, Muh. Aryomekka Firdaus on Sunday (5/3).
Aryomekka explained that the IML SH team had been alert and responsive in coordinating since Friday night, ensuring the readiness of the fleet to prioritize fuel distribution to the Jakarta Integrated Terminal located in Koja, North Jakarta.
The IML SH Team moved quickly and coordinated with Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kilang Pertamina Internasional, and other related parties to secure the distribution and supply of fuel. The ships prepared were 3 Medium Range (MR) ships, namely the MT Ship Trinity, MT Olympus, and other ship, which were prioritized to distribute fuel from the Balongan refinery to the Jakarta Integrated Terminal.
In addition, PIS is also preparing a fleet to be on standby and immediately distribute fuel from the Cilacap refinery, as well as other points to maintain fuel supply.
At the same time, SH IML consisting of PIS, PT Pertamina Energy Terminal (PET), and PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) also coordinated with the Pertamina Peduli team to provide support and assistance to affected residents.
Assistance provided includes goods, psychological, and HSE equipment assistance. Goods provided to residents included suitable children's and adult clothing, pampers, toiletries, milk, biscuits, mineral water, and others.
SH IML PIS is also preparing trauma healing assistance from the HC SH IML function, which will be incorporated in PsyCare at the Pertamina Peduli Post.
The PET team, a subsidiary of PIS, also deployed a team and assisting with HSE tools to handle incidents at the Jakarta Integrated Terminal since Friday night. The aid was sent directly from the Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal.
