Jakarta, March 28, 2024 - Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) appreciates Pertamina's readiness to face the annual Eid al-Fitr homecoming in 2024. The appreciation was conveyed by the Vice Chairman of House Commission VI, Sarmuji, who chaired the Hearing Session (RDP) in the Meeting Room of House Commission VI, Jakarta, on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
"Commission VI appreciates Pertamina's presentation and preparations regarding the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force in anticipation of the Eid al-Fitr homecoming in 2024," Sarmuji said.
President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, mentioned that the RAFI (Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr) Task Force is a continuation of the Christmas and New Year Task Force, the Election Task Force, and currently the Ramadan-Eid al-Fitr Task Force.
The RAFI Task Force is divided into two periods: March 25 - March 31, 2024, focusing on stock additions, and April 1 - April 21, with additional services in the homecoming routes, tourist areas, flood-prone areas, and disaster-prone areas.
"For stock readiness, we have been increasing stocks since the Christmas and New Year Task Force. Currently, the stock is much higher to anticipate the surge in demand during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming," said Nicke during the RDP with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Thursday (28/3).
During the RAFI Task Force period, Pertamina has prepared 1,792 24-hour Alert Petrol Stations, 61 Pertamina Alert Kiosk points, 54 Motorists, 200 Standby Tanker Trucks, 5,027 Alert LPG Agents, and 6 Pertamina Porch points.
"The gasoline stock, which usually lasts for 18 days, has now reached 30 days, and aviation turbine fuel (avtur) stock has reached 38 days," Nicke added.
Nicke further stated, based on data from the Ministry of Transportation, that this year's number of travelers will increase significantly compared to last year. If last year there were 123 million travelers during homecoming, this year it has jumped to 193.6 million, or about 71 percent of Indonesia's population will participate in the homecoming journey.
Factors that drive the high homecoming rate this year, Nicke added, are the improved economic conditions, successful management of COVID-19, and school holidays. Therefore, Pertamina has ensured an adequate stock to meet energy needs during Eid al-Fitr.
Pertamina also utilizes technology to monitor energy distribution in real-time through the Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center.
"Through digitalization, we use a command center and analyze the homecoming patterns from previous years to determine the stock quantities by type for this year," Nicke emphasized.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
