Jakarta, June 4, 2024 – PT Pertamina Bina Medika Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC), the holding company for SOE Hospitals, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Heart Institute (Institut Jantung Nasional/IJN). This collaboration aims to enhance healthcare training and advance medical science in Indonesia.
IJN is a leading medical institution in Malaysia with over 30 years of experience in cardiovascular and thoracic care.
The MoU was signed by the President Director of IHC, drg. Mira Dyah Wahyuni, MARS, and Chief Executive Officer of IJN, Datuk Dr. Aizai Azan Abdul Rahim, on Monday, June 3, 2024, in Jakarta. The event was attended by Assistant Deputy for Health Industry of the Ministry of SOE, Fadjar Judisiawan, Medical Director of IHC, dr. Lia Gardenia Partakusuma, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IJN, Dato Akmal Arief Mohamed Fauzi, and Head of Strategic Management Department of IJN, En Hilman Azmir Bin Hamdan.
This synergy is a strategic step taken by both parties to improve healthcare service quality in Indonesia. The collaboration is expected to produce competent and internationally standardized doctors and healthcare professionals, contributing to the country’s medical science advancement.
“We are very enthusiastic about signing this MoU with IJN. This collaboration is an important step for IHC to become a trusted leader in integrated healthcare services in Indonesia and internationally,” said drg. Mira.
The MoU will last three years and cover several cooperation areas, including medical personnel development. IHC and IJN will develop excellent medical personnel through various training programs, such as fellowship training for cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and cardiac surgeons, aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of specialists in cardiology, anesthesia, and cardiac surgery.
Continuous medical education programs are also part of this MoU, ensuring that doctors and other healthcare professionals stay up-to-date with the latest medical developments.
Improving healthcare services in Indonesia will also be realized through various initiatives, such as promoting education and joint branding to raise awareness of quality healthcare services.
Additionally, IHC and IJN will develop and expand access to the latest e-health services. In terms of healthcare consultation services, both parties will share knowledge and experience to ensure that patients receive the best care.
