Jakarta, July 2, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) received several awards at two international events in Hong Kong and Manila in June 2024. President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, was named Asia’s Best CEO at the Asian Excellence Award 2024. Meanwhile, the Director of Finance of Pertamina, Emma Sri Martini, won Asia’s Best CFO at the Asian Excellence Award in Hong Kong and the Most Innovative Leader of the Year at the Stevie Awards 2024 in Manila.
"This is the umpteenth time Pertamina has received recognition from the Asian Excellence Award organized by Corporate Governance Asia. As for the Stevie Awards, this is our first time participating this year," said the VP of Investor Relations of PT Pertamina (Persero), Juferson V. Mangempis.
Juferson added that in Hong Kong, Pertamina also received awards for Best Investor Relations Energy Company, Best Investor Relations Professional, Sustainable Asia Awards, and Asia’s Best CSR. Meanwhile, at the Stevie Awards 2024, Pertamina also received awards in Innovative Achievement in Finance – Silver and Innovation in Other Types of Publication – Bronze for transparency towards investors.
According to him, these awards are also a way for Pertamina to gauge investors’ expectations of the company's top management and performance, particularly in the Finance, Investor Relations, and Sustainability sectors. "This serves as both a benchmark and appreciation from international stakeholders, particularly investors who acted as judges in these two events," he said.
This achievement is also due to Pertamina's effective communication strategy and strong commitment to transparency and excellence. "And, of course, it includes the Pertamina Group Investor Relations team, which consistently demonstrates extraordinary abilities in fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and the investment community, thus enhancing global reputation and trust," he explained.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, added that recognition from international institutions shows that Pertamina's business practices follow the company's vision and the Ministry of SOEs' Go Global strategy.
"These awards from the Asian Excellence Award and Stevie Awards are strong evidence that Pertamina has a reputation recognized on international stages," said Fadjar.
