Jakarta, May 9, 2024 - PT Elnusa Tbk (ELNUSA, IDX: ELSA), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) under Pertamina Upstream Sub-holding, has been awarded the "Indonesia 50 Best CSR Awards 2024" in the Crude Oil & Natural Gas Industry on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Jakarta. The award, presented by The Iconomics, is tangible evidence of Elnusa's success in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that positively impact society.
Frida Lidwina, Corporate Secretary of Elnusa, who attended the award ceremony, stated that Elnusa, a publicly listed company, consistently conducts CSR programs based on ISO 26000 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"The CSR programs rolled out by Elnusa throughout 2023 are indeed an implementation of Elnusa's commitment to prioritize Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Moreover, Elnusa also pays great attention to diversity, inclusivity, and collaboration to achieve targets in supporting the government's goals for sustainable development," said Frida.
"These programs and activities reflect Elnusa's adherence to the five fundamental principles, including environmental preservation, social welfare, economic development, health, and education. It is hoped that this award will encourage innovations in the company's subsequent CSR programs, which can create a circular economy and benefit both social and cultural fields," Frida concluded.
For its active role in implementing CSR programs throughout 2023, The Iconomics recognized Elnusa for its exemplary commitment to social and environmental responsibility programs. During the specified period, Elnusa demonstrated a variety of CSR initiatives, ranging from conducting beneficial activities for children with special needs in the vicinity of the company's operations to carrying out mangrove conservation projects in designated areas. Elnusa also implemented its flagship CSR program ‘Desa Energi Berdikari’ in Bojonegoro, focusing on empowering local communities and sustainable economic development.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that Pertamina is always present for the nation through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) programs, which are carried out according to the community’s needs.
