Yogyakarta, September 6, 2024—Consistently supporting startups from the younger generation, PT Pertamina (Persero) held a business workshop at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, on Thursday (5/9). Through this workshop, Pertamina aims to motivate startup business ideas from students expected to join Pertamuda 2024.
The Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, explained that the business workshop at UGM, themed "From Nothing to Extraordinary: Transforming Ideas into Profitable Ventures," was attended by around 4,500 UGM students both in person and online.
"Pertamina's presence at UGM is part of the Pertamina Goes to Campus and Pertamuda Pertamina programs. One of the activities is a business workshop to share tips on turning creative ideas into profitable ventures. We hope that students who are rich in fresh ideas can realize their business ideas and join Pertamuda 2024," Fadjar explained.
In the workshop, Rifky Rakhman Yusuf, VP of Stakeholder Relations & Management of Pertamina and one of the speakers, emphasized that the workshop symbolizes the synergy between industry and academia. Speakers shared success stories, tips, and insights on how to start a business from scratch and turn it into a success.
The three panelists represented the business world: Rifky Rakhman Yusuf, Richie Wirjan - Co-Founder & EVP of Maven Asia Capital & CEO of Foundry, and Bramantyo Adiyatma - CEO of Smartpath and one of the TOP 3 winners of Pertamuda 2023.
"This workshop is a golden opportunity for anyone with an idea but unsure how to turn it into a profitable business," Rifky said.
The workshop, part of Pertamuda 2024, will be held four times across several universities in Indonesia. In addition to UGM, Pertamina Pertamuda will visit Universitas Indonesia (Jakarta) and Universitas Diponegoro (Semarang).
