Energy for Sharing, Pertamina Group Distributes 3,478 Qurbani Animals

Jakarta, June 30, 2023 – Celebrating Eid al-Adha 1444 H, the Pertamina Group has distributed approximately 3,478 qurbani animals throughout Indonesia. These qurbani animals were distributed by Pertamina's Subholding, Subsidiaries, and Business Units of PT Pertamina (Persero). The Qurbani animals consist of 1,882 goats, 59 sheep, two buffaloes, and 1,535 cows.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, revealed that through the Qurbani initiative, Pertamina aims to share the energy of happiness with the Indonesian people, especially those in the company's operational areas. 

"The distribution of Qurbani animals to the community is part of Pertamina's consistent implementation of its social and environmental responsibilities (TJSL program). Under the theme of Eid al-Adha, 'Sincerely spread the energy of goodness,' we hope Pertamina's role in society can be more strongly felt," said Fadjar. 

Fadjar added that the Eid al-Adha moment is also an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Pertamina employees and the local community. In addition to participating in the qurbani process, Pertamina employees in some locations also engage in the entire qurbani process, from slaughtering to distribution to the community. It aligns with the implementation of AKHLAK culture among the officers in society.

Regarding the distribution of Qurbani animals, Fadjar further explained that Pertamina collaborates with mosque committees, social institutions, foundations, and other distribution parties to ensure the Qurbani animals reach the intended recipients. "As a state-owned enterprise, Pertamina's presence should always be felt by the entire society while spreading positive energy," added Fadjar.
