Jakarta, October 12, 2022 – The people of Jakarta enlivened the North Maluku cultural arts performance, a collaboration between Pertamina, the North Maluku Family Association (HIKMU), and the Kemendes PDTT as a support for the Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia at the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia Car Free Day (CFD) arena, Jakarta, Sunday (9/10/2022).
This event is a series of pre-harvesting activities for the Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia (Gernas BBI) 2022, where Ternate, North Maluku, will host the Gernas BBI main event on October 13-16, 2022.
Taufik Madjid, as Secretary General of the Kemendes PDTT, said that the Gernas BBI aims to increase the adoration and pride for local products while developing MSMEs.
"Besides informing a wider community, especially in Jakarta, it has an important role in developing traditional arts and culture's innovations and creativity created by the nation's children, particularly from the Maluku Utara Province," he said
Various events were held in the North Maluku Cultural Arts and Entertainment Performance, including soya-soya dances, bambu gila attractions, goyang Tobelo dan Gala, and the music of the Filonga Band, which further enlivened the event around the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia. Several, local products by the nation's children and North Maluku's specialty dishes were also displayed.
The event, held in the Car Free Day area, was attended by the Secretary General of the Kemendes PDTT, Taufik Madjid, Deputy for Tourism and Creative Economy Coordination-Kemenko Marves, Oddo RM Manuhutu, Director General of Economic Development and Investment Kemendes PDTT, Harlina Sulistyorini, Head of the Provincial Representative Office North Maluku, and the Chairman of the North Maluku Family Association Margarito Khamis.
Pertamina continues to campaign for Gernas BBI through several activities. It includes Talkshows and Upskilling to produce great SMEs, Social Media Activation through gen_umkm's Instagram account, Marketing Live Competition on Tiktok and Marketplace, Publication by distributing press releases to national and local media, GBBI Corner in Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta and the Online Exhibition.
According to Pertamina's VP of CSR & SMEPP, Fajriyah Usman, Pertamina provides full support for the Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia (BBI), which aims to increase Indonesian love to use the nation's children's creations, especially local MSME products. This movement was launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, on May 14, 2020.
"We invite all parties to encourage each other, collaborate, and synergize for a better Indonesia towards a new economic era. Let's continue to support, buy local creatives, and support the Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia," Fajriyah said.
