September 3, 2022 - The government transfers part of the fuel subsidy into direct cash assistance (BLT) to the less fortunate to ensure that subsidy utilization is on target. Thus, the fuel (BBM) price that has been subsidized so far has been adjusted. President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, ensured sufficient subsidized fuel stock availability at all petrol stations after the price adjustment by the government.
Nicke monitored fuel availability by directly observing the Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center (PIEDCC) located at the Pertamina Grha Building, Saturday (3/9/2022) accompanied by the Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, Mulyono, and Director of Business Support of Pertamina, Dedi Sunardi, and Director of Regional Marketing of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra. The number monitored is the real-time availability number in the field.
"We ensure the subsidized fuel stocks availability at petrol stations is sufficient, and we continue to monitor the subsidized fuel distribution condition in the field," she said. Nicke added that through the PIEDCC, Pertamina also ensures that fuel sales comply with the Presidential Regulation 191/2014. Therefore, vehicles cannot make repeated purchases with abnormal volumes.
From the monitoring through PIEDCC, Pertalite type subsidized fuel stock availability is at the level of 18 days, while the Solar type is in a position of 20 days and continues to be produced. Pertamina also ensures that all refineries are fully operating.
Nicke said that through PIEDCC monitoring, Pertamina could take appropriate steps to ensure fuel stocks up to gas station availability. PIEDCC also provides real-time data on energy distribution throughout the distribution chain, from refineries, and fuel terminals, to petrol stations.
Nicke conveyed that after the new price adjustment, subsidies from the Government will still exist. Hence the selling price of Pertalite and Solar is still below the economic price, and still cheaper than competitors or several other countries with similar specifications.
Regarding the government's relatively short time to adjust the price, Nicke emphasized that Pertamina is ready, and all petrol stations have adjusted according to the government's direction. "With the petrol stations digitization implementation, price adjustments can be made directly from the PIEDCC. Therefore, price adjustments can be made quickly according to the government's decision, considering that subsidized fuel is an assignment that must be accountable to the state," concluded Nicke.**
