Ensuring that Homecoming Travelers Enjoy Eid Holidays Comfortably, Pertamina Siaga to Meet the Community's Energy Needs

Palembang, April 3, 2023 - Entering the mid-fasting month and approaching the Eid holiday, Pertamina continues to ensure that the community's energy needs ahead of the homecoming season and Idul Fitri 1444 Hijriyah are always safe.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Regional Sumbagsel, Tjahyo Nikho Indrawan, said that several preparations had been mapped out. Thus, services and energy needs were met properly ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

"Pertamina's Ramadan and Idul Fitri Task Force (RAFI) in 2023 are ready to secure the fuel and LPG supply and distribution during this year's Eid homecoming," Nikho said.

Pertamina Patra Niaga reactivated the Ramadan and Idul Fitri Task Force Team (RAFI Task Force) 1444H from April 1 to May 2, 2023.

During the RAFI Task Force, for the South Sumatra region, gasoline consumption is predicted to increase by 24% while gasoil sees no significant change. An increase is also predicted for LPG consumption of around 9.7%, and Avtur will increase by 27%. This projection is compared with the average consumption from January to February 2023.

Several preparations have also been made, such as preparing main facilities, which include ten fuel terminals, two LPG terminals, 675 gas stations, 62 gas stations, 482 LPG agents, and 6 DPPUs.

"During the RAFI Task Force period, we ensure stock is sufficient. Thus, distribution is not disrupted, and the community can carry out their homecoming trips and Eid holidays comfortably and calmly," Nikho explained.

Besides the main services, standby services and additional services are also prepared, including 87 standby petrol stations, 347 standby LPG agents and 5,540 standby LPG base outlets, 4 Pertamina Standby Kiosks, 15 Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) Motorists, 16 Standby Tank Cars.

"People don't need to worry, for their needs while traveling home and when they are in their hometown, we will prepare it so that people can be calm and comfortable enjoying their holidays," he added.

"We can also say that after the Dumai Refinery incident, the fuel and LPG supply in the South Sumatra region had no effect and is still safe," Nikho concluded.
