Erick Thohir Appreciates Pertamina for Winning 9 Awards at the 2023 BCOMSS Event
Jakarta, March 10, 2023 - PT Pertamina (Persero) won nine awards at the BUMN Corporate Communication and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) 2023, which took place at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, March 9, 2023.
The most prestigious award Pertamina received was Best of the Best Sustainability. Pertamina also took home eight other awards in the sustainability and communications category. The award was handed over directly by the Minister of SOE, Erick Thohir, and received by the Director of Finance of Pertamina, Emma Sri Martini, as well as Vice President (VP) of Corporate Communications of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, and VP of CSR & SMEPP of Pertamina Persero, Fajriyah Usman.
The BCOMSS 2023 event is an event held as a form of appreciation from the Ministry of SOE for the sustainable Communication and Social & Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) performance of all SOE corporations and their subsidiaries. This event aims to provide an understanding of communication and TJSL programs for each SOE that must be aligned with the Ministry of SOE's commitment. Therefore, each SOE can continue to have a positive impact on society.
In his speech, the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, said that through this activity, it is hoped that the TJSL programs carried out by SOEs can run sustainably. It is also hoped that SOEs will maintain communication with the public, utilizing openness.
"At BCOMSS, one of the programs that we challenge is sustainability. Not just TJSL but an ongoing program. What for? So that SOEs can be accepted and provide benefits to society," explained Erick.
In terms of programs with communications, Erick considers that the SOE communication trend this year is better. He also asked SOEs to have a media infrastructure, both online and social media.
In addition to good media infrastructure, SOE internal parties have a significant role in public communication. "SOE employees must actively participate in voicing news, policies, or performance from SOEs. Thus, they can build pride in the company where employees work," explained Erick.
Meanwhile, the Director of Finance of Pertamina, Emma Sri Martini, welcomed this achievement. "Alhamdulillah, this is fellow Pertamina officers' achievement. It is a matter of pride for all of us at Pertamina to receive recognition from the Ministry of SOEs. Mr. Minister, Erick Thohir, gave the award directly to Pertamina as the Best of the Best for the TJSL category," said Emma.
Emma also appealed to all Officers not to be complacent with all the achievements. According to her, this award is a motivation for officers, so that they can work, contribute better, and provide benefits to the country and society at large.
“Surely, this is a motivation for all of us to work even better. Making TJSL programs and Corporate Communications that are much more optimal, effective, efficient, conveying messages to the public, transparency, openness, as well as our contribution at Pertamina for society and the country," concluded Emma.
