Explanation Regarding Pertamina Board of Commissioners' Honorarium
August 4, 2023 - In response to the information circulating in the media regarding the salaries/honorarium of the Board of Commissioners, including the President Commissioner, PT Pertamina (Persero) would like to clarify that the information is inaccurate.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, conveyed that the amount of remuneration for members of the Board of Commissioners is determined by the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) and applies every year for one year starting from January of the current year. This determination refers to the guidelines as stated in the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Regulation Number PER–13/MBU/09/2021 dated September 24, 2021, concerning the Sixth Amendment to the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Regulation (SOE) Number PER-04/MBU/2014 regarding Guidelines for Determining the Income of the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, and Board of Supervisors of State-Owned Enterprises.
"In the news, it is mentioned that the Commissioner's honorarium reaches billions of rupiah per month, which is not true," said Fadjar on Friday, August 4, 2023.
According to Fadjar, the income determination in the form of salary or honorarium, allowances, and fixed facilities takes factors such as the business scale, business complexity, inflation rate, company's financial condition and capability, and other relevant factors into consideration and must not contradict regulations. Among the other relevant factors is the prevailing income level generally observed in a similar industry.
"The amount of salary or honorarium is based on many factors, one of which is the company's financial capability," Fadjar added.
