Jakarta, November 13, 2023 – PT Pertamina Bina Medika Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) / SOE Holding hospital, through IHC PHC Surabaya hospital, supports the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 tournament held in four major cities in Indonesia, including Surabaya by providing medical team services for health needs during the U-17 2023 matches.
Dr. Lia Gardenia Partakusuma, the Medical Director of Holding IHC, stated that it is an honor for IHC, on the occasion of National Health Day 2023, to be entrusted by FIFA as the medical service provider and as a form of support to the health sector, serving as the host for the inaugural FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 in Indonesia.
She elaborated that IHC Group's medical support for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 includes IHC PHC Surabaya hospital as the dedicated facility for the Emergency Department (IGD), outpatient care, and inpatient care specifically for the delegations and participants of the FIFA U17 World Cup 2023.
"The designation of IHC Group as the medical team for the FIFA U-17 World Cup has been carried out through surveys and inspections by the FIFA Medical Manager for the Asia region on November 1, 2023, or nine days before the opening through the Hospital Tour activities in various areas of PHC Surabaya hospital, including the Emergency Room, Radiology, Laboratory, Orthopedic Center, VIP Inpatient Care, ICU, Cathlab, and other health facilities," explained Dr. Lia.
Dr. Lia continued that during the FIFA U-17 World Cup Indonesia 2023, IHC Group is also responsible for and dispatches a Dedicated Medical Team at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT) in Surabaya, including an ambulance, medical specialists in cardiology, anesthesiology, and several other healthcare professionals.
