The Kick-Off Meeting that took place in Surabaya was attended by The Director of Commerce of PIS, Arief Sukmara; the Director of Fleet of PIS, Muhammad Irfan Zainul Fikri; President Director of PHE WMO, Endro Hartanto; and Senior Manager of Shipping and Transportation Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Oil and Gas), Hendratmi Susilowati.
The Director of Commercial of PIS, Arief Sukmara, explained that this event was a synergy form at Pertamina Group for national energy security. “I am proud and ecstatic with this extraordinary collaboration and cooperation. This project is a synergy form that fosters a shared vision to re-create FSO Abherka's valor in the waters and contribute to delivering energy for our beloved country," said Arief.
The Abherka ship was built in 1985 with a capacity of up to 600 thousand barrels and was first inaugurated as an FSO in 2012. Abherka has spent ten years serving the needs of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO).
"We thank PHE WMO for trusting PIS and appointing us as the winner in the Provision of FSO and Ship Management Services tender. We also do not forget to thank SKK Migas for providing a technical and operational perspective on project activities," continued Arief.
The Director of PHE WMO, Endro Hartanto, said that this collaboration is very meaningful for the company because the FSO Abherka's presence is quite important in supporting production and lifting activities. "Thanks to PIS, this collaboration has contributed to the Pertamina Group Synergy figure. The main priority in every activity is to apply the HSSE Golden Rules by all Pertamina personnel and realize the management aspects of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) from each job and administration. Insya Allah, this collaboration can run smoothly," he said.
The Senior Manager of Shipping and Transportation of SKK Migas, Hendratmi Susilowati, appreciated the FSO Abherka vessel procuring smooth process, which went smoothly. She emphasized that all activities in the upstream oil and gas industry sector highlight three targets in the SKK Migas strategic plan. Namely, achieving the production of one million barrels of oil per day, increasing the multiplier effect, and ensuring environmental sustainability (ensuring environmental sustainability).
Hendratmi also said that along with the need to support national energy security, she hoped that in the future, the Pertamina Group would have an FPSO or Floating Production Storage and Offloading fleet.
“Currently, we manage 20 FPSOs and FSOs. Pertamina has an FSO, and we hope that in the future, it can also have an FPSO fleet and LNG transportation," she said.**
