Jakarta, October 13, 2024 - PT Pertamina Bina Medika IHC (IHC), the state-owned hospital holding company, continues to innovate in supporting PT Pertamina (Persero) employees’ welfare. As part of the Employee Well-being Week & Health Expo, held from October 7-11, 2024, Pertamina has relaunched the Day Care facility at its Headquarters, located at Jl. Medan Merdeka Timur 1A, Central Jakarta.
Pertamina has entrusted the management of this Day Care to Pertamina IHC Clinic, one of IHC's business units. Pertamina IHC Clinic operates the facility with a structured system and employs trained and experienced professionals. The Day Care is divided into two separate units, one for infants aged 3 to 11 months and the other for toddlers aged 1 to 5 years, ensuring optimal care and focused attention.
Adopting the Montessori education method, the Day Care allows children to learn based on their interests and talents, fostering an environment that encourages creativity and cognitive development. The Day Care operates under the supervision and standards set by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) of the Republic of Indonesia.
Pertamina IHC Clinic has prepared highly qualified human resources to manage this Day Care. The staff includes experienced midwives, skilled nurses, and professionals from Early Childhood Education programs. All personnel is certified and trained according to the PPPA Ministry standards.
The Day Care also offers premium facilities to ensure children's comfort, such as educational toys, sleeping areas, learning spaces, a separate play environment, and a CCTV monitoring system to provide parents with peace of mind.
In the future, Pertamina IHC Clinic plans to enhance this service by involving pediatric specialists who regularly visit the Day Care to monitor children's growth and development.
The Acting President Director of IHC, Dr. Lia Gardenia Partakusuma, expressed her hopes that this Day Care would benefit Pertamina employees’ children and other state-owned companies (SOE) across Indonesia. "IHC, as a subsidiary of Pertamina, is very proud to support the well-being of Pertamina employees' families through this Day Care facility. It is not just a childcare center but also a hub for education and development that can stimulate creativity, confidence, and social skills from an early age," said Dr. Lia.
In line with Dr. Lia, in terms of human resource management, Devi D. Pritasari, Director of Pertamina IHC Clinic, also emphasized the importance of the caregivers' competence and emotional intelligence. "Pertamina IHC Clinic has prepared a team of midwives, professional nurses for infant care, and Early Childhood Education graduates for toddler care. They are certified in child-friendly practices and understand children's rights under the PPPA Ministry. We strive to create a safe, warm, and healthy environment for children's psychological growth," she explained.
"The Day Care facility is an essential part of realizing well-being in PT Pertamina (Persero)'s work environment, and we hope to extend this service to other SOEs so that workers can contribute more optimally to their companies and our beloved nation. Together, we can achieve Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045 with healthy future leaders," Devi added.
