Improve Bilateral Relations, Pertamina Upstream Subholding Does A Courtesy Visit to Sonatrach

Alger, June 17, 2022 - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, has work areas spread throughout the country and abroad. Operational activities for overseas work areas are managed by Regional International or PT Pertamina Internasional EP (PIEP). PIEP, through its subsidiary PT Pertamina Algeria EP (PAEP), manages oil and gas fields in Algeria at locations such as MLN, EMK, and OURHOUD.

In operating the Algeria working area, PAEP cooperates with Sonatrach, Algeria's national oil and gas company. The bilateral relationship that is established is getting closer with various engagements carried out by both parties.

The President Director of PHE, Budiman Parhusip, had the opportunity to have a courtesy visit with Sonatrach in Algeria on Tuesday (14/06). On the occasion, CEO of Sonatrach, Taofik Hakkar, President Director of PIEP, John Anis, President Commissioner of PIEP, Dharmawan Samsu, President Director of Elnusa, John H Simamora, SVP of Strategy, Portfolio and Business Development of PT Pertamina (Persero), Edy Karyanto, and VP of Business Support of PIEP, Ria Noveria were present.

Budiman explained that the field in PAEP management is one of the mainstays of Upstream Subholding. "We express our gratitude for Sonatrach's support so far. Pertamina hopes that this cooperation can continue so that it can provide benefits for both parties. This cooperation is an important note for Pertamina in continuing to develop its presence in the international oil and gas world," said Budiman.
