INACRAFT 2022 is taking place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). Until the 3rd day, this event has been visited by more than 9 thousand visitors. The Pertamina UMKM booth, packed with visitors from morning to evening, showed positive responses.
Vice President (VP) of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman, explained that Pertamina's goal to include its 24 foster partners is to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and to increase local products competitiveness.
"This activity is also useful in promoting products and introducing our products to the public, both at home and abroad," he said.
This is felt by Budi Harjana, the owner of Batik Bantul, who is participating in prestigious exhibitions such as INACRAFT for the first time. On the first day of the opening, Wednesday (23/3), Budi has got a new customer from Jakarta who usually sells batik in Senayan City. In one transaction, 150 batik pieces were immediately bought.
"Today, I also got another buyer from Australia. He bought ten pieces with 10 sample motifs of natural dyed batik. He also promised to come to the production house in Yogyakarta after the INACRAFT 2022 event was over," he said happily.
Budi Harjana hopes that the buyer will soon come to Yogyakarta and become his permanent buyer. He also did not forget to wish that other Pertamina UMKM participants would also find buyers.
In contrast with Budi, Ros, the owner of the Monalisa Collection selling shoes, bags, and souvenirs made of gunny sacks, with a very thick Sundanese accent, tells that during the Japanese colonial era, her parents always wore gunny sacks. It was the inspiration that gunny sacks could be processed and sterilized to make them smooth and not itchy. And it's proven, now the products are known for being unique and elegant. "Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful. Because in addition to direct shopping, there are also many orders," she said.
The products sold by Pertamina SMEs are of very high quality at very affordable prices. Various enticing promotions were also offered to attract visitors.
Due to the high number of buyers visiting since the first day, Pertamina's MSME fostered partners took the initiative to provide promos of discounts of up to 20% for all products. As a form of support for this initiative, Pertamina provides additional promos of giving lucky dip coupons for purchases at all Pertamina MSME booths in Hall A for every product purchase of at least IDR 500 thousand.
"With this voucher, a lottery will be drawn to get LinkAja balances up to tens of millions," said Fajriyah.
