Jakarta, May 9, 2024 - Pertamina Group has won eight awards for Environmental Social Responsibility (ESR) at The Iconomics "Indonesia 50 Best CSR Awards 2024", organized by "The Iconomics Media", in Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/5). Pertamina's ESR program is rich in social concern and deemed to provide added value to Pertamina, making Pertamina's presence beneficial to society.
Fajriyah Usman, Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management of Pertamina, stated that Pertamina has four pillars of CSR focus: Pertamina Cerdas for education, Pertamina Sehat for health, Pertamina Hijau for the environment, and Pertamina Berdikari for SME development.
"Through these four pillars, we all strive to add value to society. Hopefully, the ESR goals from these programs will motivate the Pertamina Group team to continue ESR efforts that positively impact society," she said during the award ceremony.
In this sixth edition, PT Pertamina (Persero) has won the Best 50 CSR Brand Equity Awards (Oil and Gas Sector).
Meanwhile, the same category awards were received by Pertalife Insurance (Insurance Sector), Pertamina Foundation (Philanthropy Foundation Sector), and Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia (Insurance Sector).
Furthermore, Pertamina International Shipping won the Indonesia Best CSR in the Supply Chain Sector, Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) won the Indonesia Best CSR in the Marine Logistics Sector, Pertamina Lubricants won the Indonesia Best CSR in the Lubricants Sector, and PT Elnusa Tbk won the Indonesia Best CSR in the Crude Petroleum & Natural Gas Sector.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communications of Pertamina, added that these awards reflect Pertamina's commitment to implementing sustainability aspects in society. It follows Pertamina's vision of becoming a sustainable company, so Pertamina's efforts are expected to support its business while positively impacting society.
"The ESR program is one way for Pertamina to implement sustainability to promote the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The award from The Iconomics is an appreciation that will encourage us to have a broader impact," Fadjar said.
Some of Pertamina's flagship ESR programs include Independent Energy Villages, Pertamina Forests, and health programs such as Floating Hospitals in Sorong City, Papua, which have greatly helped communities access healthcare.
Bram S. Putro, Founder & CEO of The Iconomic, revealed in his opening speech that these awards were given to companies committed to implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or ESR.
