Jakarta, April 26, 2024 - Kartini Day commemoration at Pertamina not only uplifts the spirit of women to excel but also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between fathers and mothers in building a harmonious family.
PT Pertamina (Persero) is committed to further inspire Pertamina officers to empower Indonesia in the energy sector, with a strong and harmonious family foundation.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that Kartini Day commemoration is not only about women but also about fathers’ role in nurturing the family. Pertamina officers must share responsibilities between their office and household chores, ensuring that neither work nor family life is disrupted.
"The responsibility of Pertamina officers is not only in the office but also as the head of the family at home. We hope they can enhance positive energy in nurturing their families while being good employees in the office," said Fadjar during the Inspiring Talk Show event titled "Embracing Challenges, Energizing Positivity" at Grha Pertamina Jakarta, on April 26, 2024, in commemoration of Kartini Day in 2024.
As a guest speaker at the talk show, Indonesian psychologist, Elly Risman Musa, emphasized that the responsibilities between fathers and mothers in parenting should be evenly shared. However, in practice, parenting responsibilities are often borne more by mothers.
"The fatherlessness phenomenon or the lack of a father's role in parenting is still a problem in Indonesia, with the patriarchal culture and household task division sometimes limiting the father's role. This can affect children’s emotional, physical, and cognitive development. In celebrating Kartini Day at Pertamina, I want to emphasize that it is not just about uplifting women to excel but also affirming the importance of collaboration between fathers and mothers in building a harmonious family," said Elly.
Meanwhile, another guest speaker, Vidi Aldiano, also expressed extraordinary enthusiasm and admiration for female workers at Pertamina. "This event truly inspires, especially for Pertamina officers who are working moms. Hopefully, with insights gained, they can energize themselves and their surroundings more," said Vidi.
Another guest speaker, Nirina Zubir, an actress who attended the event, expressed her joy in seeing Pertamina officers’ enthusiasm. "The audience is enthusiastic, and the speakers provide interesting insights. The essence is to give our best at home for our children. Therefore, keep up the spirit, Pertamina officers, every step that we take is for them," said Nirina.
