Inviting Partnered Businesses, Pertamina SMEXPO 2024 Encourages Local MSMEs to be VOCAL

Jakarta, October 22, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) officially opened the Pertamina Small Medium Enterprise Expo (SMEXPO) 2024, a showcase of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta, from October 22 to 27, 2024.

This national retail exhibition, featuring 43 Pertamina-partnered MSMEs, was inaugurated by the Minister of SMEs, Maman Abdurrahman. In his opening remarks, Minister Maman Abdurrahman commended the Pertamina SMEXPO 2024 as an initiative to empower MSMEs. He emphasized that if more corporations followed Pertamina in supporting MSME development, it would strengthen the economic foundation.

"It highlights the importance of corporate involvement in assisting MSMEs alongside the government, which allows them to become more vocal and compete on the global stage," he said.

President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, emphasized that Pertamina SMEXPO is an annual event to empower its partnered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina (Persero), Brahmantya Satyamurti Poerwadi, added that Pertamina SMEXPO 2024 marks the fifth year of the event, with the theme "Lokal Jadi VOKAL," involving 43 Pertamina-partnered SMEs.

“Before this main event, we held a series of exhibitions in five cities: Palembang, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Makassar, and Bandar Lampung,” he explained.

The event was also attended by the Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Arif Rahman Hakim, Acting Deputy of MSMEs, Temmy Satya Permana, and President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina SMEXPO 2024 is part of a broader initiative to develop Pertamina's partnered MSMEs. The activities included local thematic pre-event exhibitions at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta, from March to May 2024, and regional exhibitions, part of the road to the national Pertamina SMEXPO. The main event now features business matching and the SMEXPO 2024 exhibition.

“These activities aim to promote high-quality products from Pertamina-partnered SMEs to the general public and stakeholders. We hope these efforts will enhance MSMEs' market access,” Fadjar explained.

The six-day exhibition at Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta, will showcase hundreds of MSME products, ranging from handicrafts to processed foods. Visitors can enjoy various high-quality local products and attractive promotions, discounts, and exciting activities throughout the event.
