MotoGP Event Begins, Pertamina Predicts an Increase in Avtur and Fuel Consumption in NTB

Lombok, March 17, 2022 – During the MotoGP event on 8-20 March 2022 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures the distribution and stock of avtur and fuel are sufficient to meet the energy needs of West Nusa Tenggara Province. It was conveyed by Deny Djukardi, Executive General Manager of Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus, in his press statement on Wednesday (16/3).

"During the pre-season MotoGP event yesterday, there was a 100% increase of avtur or Jet fuel consumption in Lombok from an average of 28 Kiloliters (KL) to 56 KL per day. We predict an increase in consumption during the Moto GP event, from an average of 30 KL per day to 111 KL or an increase of more than 300%," Deny said.

He added that the increase in consumption is also expected to occur in fuel for vehicles. "The normal daily fuel consumption in Lombok is 878 kiloliters (KL). During the Moto GP event, it is estimated to increase around 10-15% or above 1,000 KL per day," Deny said.

Pertamina's facilities in West Nusa Tenggara are also ready to meet energy needs, especially during the Moto GP event.

"Through the Integrated Fuel & LPG Terminal in Mataram City and the Aircraft Filling Depot at Lombok's Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, Pertamina is ready to serve the community and consumers, especially during the Moto GP event," Deny added.
