Jakarta, March 4, 2023 - The fire incident at the Jakarta Integrated Terminal pipe, Plumpang, has been successfully handled. With the cooperation of Pertamina Patra Niaga and assistance from various parties, the emergency status was revoked on Saturday (4/3) at 03.35 WIB.
President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution, said one of the reception pipes caught fire on Friday (3/3) around 20.00 WIB. The Jakarta Integrated Terminal fire team and the North Jakarta City Fire and Rescue Service (Sudin Damkar) managed to extinguish the fire at around 22.00 WIB.
"First, we express our deep condolences to the victims' families. We apologize for this incident. Pertamina will continue to oversee the handling of victims and the investigation process. We are committed to providing the best treatment for affected people. This will be our priority," said Alfian.
Pertamina is committed to taking full responsibility for the victims, including medical expenses.
Apart from that, the Pertamina Patra Niaga team is also intensely working hand in hand in collaboration with the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD), Kapolda, the Deputy Mayor of North Jakarta, and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) to carry out the evacuation of residents and assistance for refugees.
"We would like to thank all parties who have assisted in extinguishing, evacuating, and handling victims process," he added.
Pertamina is also moving quickly to activate the Regular, Alternative, and Emergency (RAE) distribution scheme with supply assistance from the Tanjung Gerem Fuel Terminal (TBBM), Cikampek TBBM, Bandung Group Fuel Terminal, and Balongan TBBM to ensure residents’s fuel needs in the Western Java.
"Pertamina ensures that the fuel supply for the West Java region does not experience any problems and the fuel distribution has returned to normal," said Alfian.**
