Jakarta, July 25, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) won three awards at The 15th Indonesia HR Excellence Conference & Awarding 2024, organized by SWA Magazine, at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta Ballroom, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. The appreciation in human resources (HR) was given because Pertamina was considered an excellent company in HR management, including the digitalization utilization for HR management.
The awards were received by the Director of HR of Pertamina, M. Erry Sugiharto, in three categories: Learning & Development (L&D) and Knowledge Management, Reward Management & Talent Retention Strategy, and HR Digitization & People Analytics.
Regarding this achievement, the Director of HR of Pertamina, M. Erry Sugiharto, stated that the HR Directorate of Pertamina is a strategic business partner in managing and providing superior talent. It ensures high competitiveness and global expertise aligned with the evolving needs of the business world, especially in the energy industry.
"This award is a positive recognition from the public for the performance of Pertamina's officers who have collaborated to address various current energy business challenges. This appreciation reflects that Pertamina can maintain its existence in realizing energy sustainability towards energy independence and resilience," M. Erry Sugiharto said.
Erry further explained that digitalization is essential in ensuring effective and efficient talent management, thus enhancing productivity and a high-performance culture. Currently, Pertamina's workforce of approximately 45,000 employees is dominated by millennials and Gen Z across various business lines, including upstream, midstream, downstream, and portfolio services in domestic and international regions.
"Pertamina has developed an application called Pertamina Development Hub (PDH), a competency-based development system for officers, accessible anytime and anywhere in real-time. We hope that the technology use can accelerate the improvement of competencies and meet the development needs of all officers," Erry added.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that the HR awards can motivate Pertamina to continuously improve the competence management of its officers, supporting Pertamina's business sustainability while fostering an excellent human resource management ecosystem in other State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
