Patra Jasa Collaborated with Ministry of Environment and Forestry for Workers Upskilling in Environment Management and SIMPEL Application

SURABAYA - PT Patra Jasa is committed to implementing environmental management for the Zero Environmental Pollution goal in complying with laws and regulations related to the environment, placing environmental management as a top priority, and inviting interested parties for environmental management and preservation in all company operating units. The competence of workers is the key to the success of achieving these goals.

To improve competence related to environmental management and understanding of applicable laws and regulations, the HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Division and the HCGA & Asset Management Division of PT Patra Jasa held a Training and Workshop on Environmental Management & Socialization of the Electronic Reporting Information System (SIMPEL) at the end of May 2022. The activity held at Patra Surabaya Hotel was attended by environmental management workers from all businesses, including hotel units, rental properties, and selling properties.

On that occasion, Patra Jasa collaborated with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (Ministry of LHK) who gave several presentations, namely Lindawati from the Directorate of Water Pollution Control, Amelia Rachmatunisa from the Directorate General of Waste, Hazardous, Toxic and Waste Management, and Dede Romdanih from the Directorate of Air Pollution Control.

One of the speakers, Amelia Rachnatunisa, said that companies need to report the environment management through SIMPEL as the company’s performance evaluation indicator of environment management.

HSSE Manager of PT Patra Jasa, Rizuli Akbar, hoped that this training and workshop could educate the workers about environment management implementation in any business, creating optimal communication, coordination, and consultation.
