Jakarta, May 28, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) and the Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) support the increase of national Oil and Gas (Migas) lifting for national energy security.
Based on performance, Pertamina succeeded in recording an improvement in Oil and Gas performance in 2023.
The contribution trend of Pertamina's upstream production performance nationally has increased, with oil production contributing 69% and gas production 34% in 2023. This record demonstrates the growth of Pertamina's performance amidst the national decline in Oil and Gas production.
“Pertamina's performance has increased over the past five years with oil and gas production rising to7%,” explained the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati, at the Hearing Meeting (RDP) of the House of Representatives on May 28, 2024.
Overall, Pertamina's Oil and Gas performance grew by 7%, with a 6% contribution from domestic growth and 12% from international growth.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), added that this performance improvement is Pertamina's commitment to maintaining national energy security following the government's program through increased Oil and Gas production and lifting.
At the RDP of Commission VII of the DPR RI, Commission VII encouraged Pertamina to significantly increase lifting through progressive and concrete steps in supporting the achievement of national oil and gas lifting targets and national energy security.
