Jakarta, September 3, 2023 - The President Director of PT Pertamina Bina Medika - Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC), drg. Mira Dyah Wahyuni, MARS, with officials from the Ministry of State Secretariat, Medical Task Force, and stakeholders, unveiled approximately 30 ambulances and mini ICUs to support the 43rd ASEAN Summit in 2023.
Sixteen Ambulance Rescue units are prepared from IHC Group Hospitals located in various cities across Indonesia, while the remaining 14 units are the result of collaboration with stakeholders from the private sector. These units will be stationed at approximately 30 designated points in their respective responsibilities.
IHC Group's contributions include hospitals such as Pertamina Central Hospital, Jakarta Port Hospital, Pertamina Jaya Hospital, Pelni Hospital, Port Medical Center Hospital, Pertamina Balongan Hospital, Jember Plantation Clinic Hospital, PHC Hospital Surabaya, Krakatau Medika Hospital, Lavalette Hospital Malang, Pertamina Hospital Cilacap, Cirebon Port Hospital, Gatoel Mojokerto Hospital, and Elizabeth Hospital Situbondo.
"Our primary readiness is serving the healthcare needs of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, second is exercising caution principle, prioritizing patient safety, ensuring quality assurance in service delivery, and maintaining proper decorum and etiquette," explained drg. She continued by emphasizing that this endeavor represents excellent cross-sector collaboration between IHC (a state-owned hospital holding company) and the Ministry of State Secretariat, TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces), Paspampres (Presidential Security Force), and other stakeholders.
IHC is prepared to be at the forefront of healthcare services for the 43rd ASEAN Summit. Each Ambulance Rescue unit is staffed with one advanced general practitioner and two advanced nurses trained to handle emergencies.
In addition, IHC has provided Mini ICU equipment units at several locations within the ASEAN Summit venue, along with highly skilled healthcare professionals, including specialists in cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, anesthesiology, neurology, and more.
Before the release, the ambulances underwent sterilization checks by the Ministry of State Secretariat to ensure that all units, including medical equipment and supplies, fulfilled the requirements.
During the same occasion, dr. Hotlan Parlin, MKK, Head of Health Services at the Ministry of State Secretariat, emphasized the paramount importance of health. He expressed his gratitude to IHC for its collaboration in supporting the 43rd ASEAN Summit.
Furthermore, Deputy Task Force Commander TNI Medical Task Force for ASEAN Summit, Colonel ckm dr. Ichsan Firdaus Sp.KJ. Mkes, added that one of the security measures for the ASEAN Summit includes a medical task force responsible for monitoring, collaborating, and coordinating all movements and activities related to the 43rd ASEAN Summit.
