Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022, the Excitement of an Environmentally Friendly Running and Festival
Jakarta, October 27, 2022 - Pertamina is ready to hold an environmentally friendly running competition and festival, Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022, in Jakarta. Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022 comes with a new concept that is fresher than the annual Pertamina Eco-Run run routinely held before.
The event held on November 27, 2022, at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, would present an Eco-Run running event and Eco-Fest consisting of the "Energizing Music Festival" and the "Eco-Market", which presented various environmentally friendly food and lifestyle products.
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina, Brahmantya Satyamurti Poerwadi, said this activity carried the theme "Energizing The Great Start". It aims to ignite positive energy and inspire all generations to start a sustainable lifestyle.
"Why is sustainable living important? We all know that we are faced with the challenges of climate change, whose dangers are becoming more and more real. It includes rising earth temperatures, rising sea levels, as well as floods and storms," said Corporate Secretary of Pertamina, Brahmantya Satyamurti Poerwadi, at the Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022 Press Conference, Thursday (27/10).
Brahmantya said that the enthusiasm of the prospective participants is high. Thus, the Eco-Run activity has sold out tickets for participants. "Alhamdulillah, 7500 tickets for the Eco-Run have been sold out. A big appreciation for the participants who have registered. As for the Eco-Fest, tickets are still available," he said.
Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022 Race Director, Satrio Guardian, explained that running lovers could enjoy the thrill of running together in various categories. Namely, the 1.5K Family Run, which can be participated by children (ages 7 - 12 years) and also companions (over 17 years old), the 5K Fun Run, which can be participated by all ages, the 10K Race with categories Student (age 13-17 years), General (age 18-44 years) and Master (over 45 years), which also includes a new category, namely Half Marathon 21K Race with General category (age 18-44 years) and Master (over 45 years old).
"Eco-Run participants will get an Eco-Run race pack that includes Exclusive Jersey, Drawstring Bag, and BIB (runner number), which can be taken from 24-26 November 2022. In addition, all participants could win door prizes and get exclusive medals on the day of the event and prizes worth hundreds of millions of rupiah for the winners of the 10K and 21K categories," said Satrio.
Satrio stated that efforts will be made to ensure everything is ready on the day of the Eco-Run. "Of course, marshall security points will be placed along the route, complete with Hydration Points per 2 KM, as well as ambulance support equipped with pacemakers," he said.
Meanwhile, Program Director for Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022, Ayu Fadhillah, said that the Eco-Fest, held on the same day, consisted of Eco-Market and Energizing Music Festival, which can be enjoyed from 09.00 - 23.00 WIB. At the Eco-Market, visitors can enjoy a music festival experience and hunt for organic and environmentally friendly products.
"In the Eco-Market, Pertamina collaborates with dozens of local and environmentally friendly MSMEs, including culinary products, local brands, and Pertamina's fostered MSMEs. In addition, visitors can enjoy communal areas and various installations and workshops using reusable materials. In this activity, Pertamina also prepares waste management for all waste at Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022, which will be recycled," said Ayu.
For Energizing Music Festival, Ayu continued, Pertamina Eco RunFest 2022 prepared three stages spread across the Istora Senayan area and will be enlivened by 20 favorite musicians across generations. Namely, Cokelat, Gigi, Rossa, Rizky Febian, Marion Jola, JKT48, RAN, Maliq & D 'essentials, Pusakata, Hivi!, The Changcuters, Oom Leo Berkaraoke x Ello x Cantika Abigail, Lalahuta x Jaz, Rendy Pandugo, Soegi Bornean, Near Band and Riri Moeya. To enjoy this Ecofest, visitors can buy entrance tickets with the Eco-Fest presale ticket price of IDR 115,000 and the normal ticket price of IDR 165,000.
On this occasion, Public Figures Andien Aisyah and Irfan Wahyudi expressed their support. "An interesting event on the weekend with family and loved ones. The Eco-Friendly concept is very much noticed throughout the packaging of the event. There is sustainable living style education that is packaged in a fun way for various generations, a water refill station facility is provided to reduce plastic waste from bottled drinking water and encourages visitors to bring their own tumblers. And the cool thing is that some of the materials used in this event are eco-friendly and reusable," said Andien.
Finally, Brahmantya added, in line with the sustainability commitment carried out at this event, Pertamina also has a CSR program called Desa Energi Berdikari which provides access to New Renewable Energy (EBT).
Pertamina supports communities in various villages to utilize new and renewable energy independently, which comes from abundant resources in their respective villages, including solar, wind, micro-hydro, biogas energy, and waste. Currently, Pertamina is developing 25 (twenty-five) Independent Energy Villages throughout Indonesia, including Bondan Village, Cilacap, Merbau Village, OKU and Keliki Village, Ubud.
