Jakarta, August 7, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) is committed to serving the nation by optimizing oil refineries across several operational areas.
The President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, continues to provide support to all Pertamina business units, most recently by visiting PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) Refinery Unit IV Cilacap on August 6, 2024.
On that occasion, Simon emphasized the importance of providing support and encouragement to management in carrying out their operational duties and activities in the field.
"The goal is for Pertamina's business units to operate following Good Corporate Governance and to achieve the targets set. In addition, this is an important part of our efforts to continue to strive for national energy resilience," Simon said.
He continued that besides resilience, Pertamina must strive to be self-sufficient, which will impact all aspects of national life.
"In the energy sector, in the transition journey towards green energy, we continue to innovate by involving all company stakeholders, such as the government and academics. We must unite all forces to continue encouraging the nation's children's work to contribute to achieving national goals," Simon explained.
Simon also conveyed that reaching these targets needs hard work and teamwork. "KPI RU IV Cilacap stronger, more independent, and gain more added value, thus reducing imports," he explained.
Supporting this, the Independent Commissioner of PT KPI, Prabu Revolusi, conveyed the need to build a green energy ecosystem.
"The point is that we do not just want to use it ourselves. We want energy independence in the future, which is the roadmap. How would we build an ecosystem? We prepared the ecosystem because Pertamina is the most competent to do this," Prabu said.
In addition, according to Prabu, government regulations must also be finalized or ensured. "When the refinery is ready and finished, the regulations are clear, then all products produced by KPI can be absorbed well by the community," Prabu said.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina is present for the nation through the upstream-downstream energy optimization role in supporting national energy resilience, including the Pertamina Refinery and other business operations optimization.
Also present on this occasion were the Independent Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Condro Kirono, Director of Human Resources and Supporting Business of PT KPI Tenny Elfrida, and General Manager of KPI RU IV Cilacap Edy Januari Utama.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
