Pertamina Ensures the Continuation of Assets Replacement Affected by the Plumpang Incident
Jakarta, July 14, 2023 - Pertamina, through Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java, is committed to taking responsibility for the affected residents following the fire incident at the Integrated Terminal Jakarta-Plumpang pipeline area in early March.
Pertamina has assisted the affected residents with funeral expenses, support for family members accompanying the deceased, spiritual support, school supplies, pocket money assistance, rental assistance, compensation for injured victims, outpatient treatment, and further medical procedures for functional restoration, business equipment, and scholarships for school-age children of deceased victims.
Furthermore, Pertamina has also established an Integrated Information Post at the Koja Military Sub-District Command to facilitate the affected residents in completing the necessary documents for the vehicles, assets, and buildings replacement process. The post, operated in June, also assists residents if they encounter difficulties fulfilling document requirements. At the post, Pertamina collaborates with various parties, such as local neighborhood association administrators (RW), Sucofindo for data verification, KJPP and Pegadaian for assessing the vehicles and other assets value, as well as the Metro Jaya Regional Police regarding the vehicles documents that were burned, enabling immediate Vehicle Ownership Certificates processing on-site.
"I have already received the replacement for my burned motorcycle, rental assistance, and the replacement process for the damaged assets is also underway. If the documents are complete, the replacement process is quite fast. Even if I have any confusion about the documents, everything is explained at the post," said Abdul Rahim, resident of RW 01 Rawa Badak Selatan.
Abdul Rahim also appreciates Pertamina, Chairman of the neighborhood association (RW), the Police, and the Military Command for their assistance in facilitating a smooth and safe replacement process for his vehicles and assets.
Another Rawa Badak Selatan resident, Dedi Kurniawan, also stated that the post has made it easier for the affected residents to inquire. The post is conveniently located and easily accessible, providing comfort with the tents and fans to keep residents cool. The post also follows a clear process, from registration to verification.
Bambang Setiyono, the Head of RW 01 Rawa Badak Selatan, stated that Pertamina's established post is comfortable and strategically located for residents to access. Communication with Pertamina at various levels of positions is smooth, thus facilitating this replacement process.
"We hope that the residents' assets replacement with complete documents will continue smoothly, safely, and quickly, following the progress that has been made," Bambang said.
Eko Kristiawan, the Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java, explained that Pertamina has made it easier for the affected residents by establishing the Integrated Information Post at the Koja Military Sub-District Command, which is not far from the incident location. At the post, residents can inquire about the document's completion and the payment stages for those with documents that have been deemed complete.
"Pertamina is committed to ensuring that the replacement process is carried out as quickly as possible for those who have complete documents, following the regulations," Eko concluded.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), explained that Pertamina continues to make every effort to compensate the affected communities in the Plumpang incident to the best of its ability.
