Sorong, November 25, 2023 - Pertamina continues to meet fuel needs in Indonesia's outermost, remote, and underdeveloped (3T) region. Since 2017, Pertamina has been operating 493 One-Price Fuel Distributors, with an additional 51 outlets symbolically inaugurated at the Fuel Terminal in Sorong, West Papua, on Friday, November 24, 2023. These 51 outlets are spread across the Maluku-Papua, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, and Sumatra clusters.
Present at the inauguration were the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif, the Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, and the President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) Subholding Commercial & Trading (C&T), Riva Siahaan.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif commended Pertamina for consistently providing distributors and One-Price Fuel petrol stations. He stated that this aligns with the directive of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, regarding the justice aspects for all Indonesian citizens, especially those in remote, frontier, and outermost areas (3T).
Furthermore, Minister Arifin Tasrif expressed hope that the One-Price Fuel program would make it easier for the public to access energy. He emphasized that the Indonesian government always strives to meet the entire population's energy needs by collaborating with relevant parties to implement the One-Price Fuel program.
"I express gratitude to Pertamina for its support, as well as to BPH Migas. May our efforts receive ease and protection from the Almighty," said Arifin Tasrif during the inauguration of One-Price Fuel at the Sorong Fuel Terminal, Southwest Papua, on Friday (25/11).
During the same event, the Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, added that they support the One-Price Fuel program implementation in 3T regions. She expressed appreciation and thanks to Pertamina and all other relevant parties for enabling the successful organization of the One-Price Fuel program.
"To ensure the availability of affordable fuel throughout the country, the government, through Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 36 of 2016, has entrusted BPH Migas to oversee the implementation of the One-Price Fuel program through assignments to business entities assigned to construct One-Price Fuel distributors in specific designated locations," Erika explained.
President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) Subholding Commercial & Trading (C&T), Riva Siahaan, explained that the inauguration of 51 One-Price Fuel distributors today is spread across four regions. These include 26 distributors in Maluku and Papua, nine in Aceh, 11 in Nusa Tenggara, and five in Central Kalimantan.
Since 2017, Riva added, Pertamina, through the One-Price Fuel program, has distributed 1.2 million kiloliters. For 2023 alone, until October, Pertamina has distributed 449 thousand kiloliters through distributors or One-Price Fuel gas stations completed in 2023.
Riva outlined that the One-Price Fuel distribution process in 3T areas utilizes multiple transportation modes, not only by land routes but also by sea and air transport. For 2024, the target is to complete around 573 One-Price Fuel distributors or petrol stations.
Riva also expressed appreciation and thanks to all parties who have supported the One-Price Fuel program implementation. "On behalf of Pertamina, we express our gratitude because we are always invited and allowed to be an extension of the government in providing fair energy for all citizens, especially in 3T regions," he added.
Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, Fadjar, stated that the One-Price Fuel program is a commitment executed by Pertamina to ensure energy resilience throughout the country, from Sabang to Merauke.
"One-Price Fuel is a manifestation of Pertamina's commitment to providing energy for the public according to the principles of availability, accessibility, affordability, acceptability, and sustainability," said Fadjar.
"Pertamina is also celebrating its 66th anniversary this year. The inauguration of One-Price Fuel distributors is a special gift from Pertamina to Indonesia ahead of its anniversary," concluded Fadjar.
