Pertamina Geothermal Energy Commitment to HSSE Implementation, 3 Geothermal Energy Areas Awarded the 2023 Patra Adikriya Bhumi Utama

Palembang, March 6, 2024 - PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) has been awarded the Patra Adikriya Bhumi Utama by PT Pertamina (Persero) for its achievements in implementing Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) in 2023. This achievement demonstrates PGE's commitment to implementing operational excellence as a world-class green energy company.

The award was presented by Deputy President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Wiko Migantoro at the closing event of Pertamina's K3 Month 2024 at Refinery Unit (RU) III Plaju, South Sumatra on Tuesday (05/03/2024). The President Director of PT Geothermal Energy Tbk, Julfi Hadi, also expressed his pride in the impressive achievements attained by PGE.

"This achievement is commendable and a result of comprehensive HSSE management system implementation at PGE. In an effort to achieve operational excellence in all aspects, PGE consistently applies safety, health, security, and environmental compliance aspects in all its operations. This award deserves gratitude from all PGE personnel," Julfi said.

As known, the assessment was based on the HSSE aspects performance selection in 2023 across Pertamina Group business units. On this occasion, PGE Area Ulubelu achieved the Main Rank, while PGE Area Kamojang and PGE Area Lahendong achieved the Intermediate Rank.

According to Julfi, it is important to maintain the commitment to implementing HSSE programs to support better achievements in the future.

"All of these achievements are inseparable from the support of all parties at PGE, stakeholders, and the community. Hopefully, operational production activities will proceed safely and smoothly, and the positive synergy established can be maintained and improved in the future," Julfi stated.

The Patra Adikriya Bhumi Award is an award in the field of HSSE aimed at increasing awareness, concern, active participation, and motivation of all Pertamina Operation Units and Subsidiaries in implementing the company's instructions, commitments, and targets for the realization of HSSE Excellence.
