Jakarta, April 5, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) organized an affordable basic needs market in the Safari Ramadan BUMN 2024 activities series. The Ministry of SOE initiated the program as part of Pertamina's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The Minister of SOE, Erick Thohir, explained that this program follows the direction of the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, regarding the availability of foodstuffs within the community at affordable prices in response to the El Nino storm that caused food price hikes in various regions of Indonesia.
Pertamina contributed to the Safari Ramadan 2024 at four locations in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and its surrounding areas, Kampar in Riau Province, and Ogan Komering Ilir in South Sumatra.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero) Fadjar Djoko Santoso stated that energy resilience is in line with food resilience.
"Through this contribution, Pertamina supports the government in providing convenience to the community, especially approaching the Eid moment," Fadjar explained.
He added that this Affordable Basic Needs Package program the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation, particularly goal two, zero hunger, to achieve food security.
In this affordable basic needs program, Pertamina provides a package priced at IDR 50,000 containing five kilograms of rice, one liter of cooking oil, and one kilogram of sugar.
The Safari Ramadan 2024 program is a 26-year series of events by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and is carried out in 40 cities/districts by state-owned enterprises throughout Indonesia by selling affordable basic needs packages to the public.
